In class 2 of my 10 week series, the topic is physical training and nutrition for your birth.
*
To be honest, this is one of the hardest classes for me to teach. Talking about nutrition and exercise is so important, especially in pregnancy, but it’s something I struggle to model in my own life.
*
I KNOW how to eat right. I KNOW what I should be eating. I KNOW I should be exercising. But I struggle to actually do it.
*
I feel a lot of people are in this same boat. We KNOW what to do, we just don’t.
*
We talk in Birth Boot Camp about how to eat a whole foods diet. How your diet can help prevent common pregnancy related diagnoses like pre-eclampsia, anemia, gestational diabetes, and excessive weight gain.

We also discuss how exercising and relaxation can help you prepare better for labor. Labor is not always just a stroll in the park on a beautiful day. It’s hard work. You’re sweating. It takes endurance and energy. So preparing for it through a healthy diet, regular exercise, and relaxation techniques can really make such a difference.

Tell me, what were some of your favorite, easy, healthy snacks or meals during pregnancy? What kind of exercising did you do? How did your diet and activity level impact your labor?
